The day kicks off at noon with an invigorating startup pitch competition, featuring 12 dynamic student teams. These ambitious groups have been meticulously groomed by seasoned professionals and mentors over the past six months, preparing to showcase their revolutionary business plans. With a focus spanning biotech and health, social impact, technology, climate action, and community impact, the diversity of ideas promises to captivate and inspire.

A panel of four distinguished judges will evaluate these pitches, as over $40,000 in prizes are up for grabs. This competition isn’t just about the funds; it’s a rare chance for students to gain invaluable feedback, exposure, and the potential to turn their visionary ideas into reality.

Santa Cruz Launchpad Job Fair

Bridging Talent and Opportunity: The Job Fair

As the sun sets, the event transitions into a vibrant job fair at 5 pm. Over 40 prestigious companies will be present, offering more than 300 job opportunities, including internships, full-time and part-time positions, and flexible remote and hybrid roles. This segment of the event is a perfect avenue for job seekers from all walks of life to connect with potential employers, explore diverse career paths, and secure their future in a rapidly evolving job market.
