March Santa Cruz New Tech CruzHack-tastic!

Our monthly New Tech on March 1 will feature the top teams and projects from the 2023 CruzHacks. Here is a preview of what you will experience (in addition to the networking, food, beverage, and live music):

  • OpenRx - solution for seniors and disabled individuals to stay on top of their medication schedules.

  • Slug Swap - students can transform the way they save on meals. Connect with peers for quick and effortless exchange of unused meal points.

  • Slug Budget - A budgeting program to track and balance the incomes and expenses of everyday life.

  • Sluggers - an online shop where every student has an account tied to their UCSC student ID.

  • GLYTH - dedicated to finding solutions to combat deforestation through the development of interactive simulations.

Additionally, these rock star companies will also present:

  • Elucidate - a data-driven marketing consultancy that has help local companies like MERGE4 break orbit and reach the stars. A simulator that allows “What If” product optimization, anticipation of competitors’ moves, and profit maximization

  • NeatLeaf - robots in Santa Cruz!?! This technology exceeds the capabilities of the human eye or any static sensor, generating millions of data points every day and translating these into simple and actionable insights, bringing the latest advances in machine learning and agronomy to your fingertips.
